What is your wood hiding?

Moving firewood can transport
exotic insects & diseases that pose
a serious threat to our forests.

What can YOU do?

Do not bring firewood from
outside the State of Maine.

Buy firewood from a local
source where you camp.

Do not transport firewood
distances greater than 50 miles,
even within Maine.

If you have already transported
firewood, do not leave it or bring
it home — burn it!

From Augusta, Maine on Interstate 95:

Leave I-95 on Exit 133 – Fairfield and Skowhegan. Take Route 201 North at the circle in Skowhegan. Yonder Hill Campground is on Route 201 North just 2 ½ miles from Skowhegan. Look for our sign on the right-hand side of the road.

From Bangor, Maine on Interstate 95:

Leave I-95 on Exit 157 – Newport and Skowhegan. Take Route 2 to Skowhegan. Take Route 201 North at the circle in Skowhegan. Yonder Hill Campground is on Route 201 North just 2 ½ miles from Skowhegan. Look for our sign on the right-hand side of the road.
