a serious threat to our forests.
What can YOU do?
Do not bring firewood from
outside the State of Maine.

source where you camp.

Do not transport firewood
distances greater than 50 miles,
even within Maine.

If you have already transported
firewood, do not leave it or bring
it home — burn it!

Here at Yonder Hill, we have a lot of fun events throughout the year! We're also close to many of the regional events, such as the Skowhegan State Fair.
Some of our regular events include:
- Every Saturday we have a scavenger
hunt, crafts for kids and Bingo for adults. - Saturday night pot-luck supper or
bean-hole beans! - Every weekend we have a wagon ride
for all, sometimes it gets wet & wild!

April-May
30th - 2nd Clean Up Weekend: Free camping. You clean, we cook!
7th - 9th: Free camping. You clean, we cook! Spend Saturday helping us clean up the grounds and receive a home cooked meal, a campsite for the night, and fresh air-All for free!!! Mother's Day-"Surprise" Saturday night.
14th - 16th: Open for the season. Welcome! Olympic weekend. Come join in the fun.
28th - 31st: Memorial Day Weekend. Honor our men and women in the service by hanging flags. Yonderhill Campground is proud to honor all military services for a great job in protecting our country and sacrificing their time and lives. THANK YOU! FREE ice cream social and games.

4th - 6th: Country Western Weekend. Bring your hats and boots for a kickin' good time. Hot dogs-n-beans and rolls @ the "Chuck Wagon" Rec. Hall. $3.50 Adults. $1.50 Children.
11th - 13th: Kids Weekend. Bike parade-decorate your bike! Games with prizes. Fishing derby for kids only.
18th - 20st: Father's Day. Saturday morning: Pan Cakes breakfast where Dad eats for free! Bring your own silverware, plate, and cup. Games and prizes for Dad.
25th - 28th: Little Hawaii weekend. Dress for the occasion. Pig Roast with the fixings. Hola Hoop and limbo contest. Lots of fun.

2nd - 5th: Independence Celebration. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, U.S.A. Celebrate with us by flying our nation's flag, dress up like Uncle Sam or Lady Liberty and enter the contest. Bike parade: decorate bikes, pets, strollers, and campsites. Make your own sundaes for a price.
9th - 11th: Silent auction. Pot Luck Supper. Make your own sundae for a price.
16 - 18th: Yonderhill's Pirate's Weekend. Walk the plank!!! Find the treasures. Dress for the occasion. How creative can you get? Fun activities and Movie night.
23rd - 25th: Christmas in July Weekend. Ho, ho, ho! Santa's coming to Yonderhill. Decorate your campsites and join in the tree decorating event going on in the Rec. Hall. Later, bring a dish for the Pot Luck Supper. Meet new friends, enjoy good food, and have fun.

27th - 29th: Summer Bash. Fun for all ages. Pie eating contest, watermellon seed/spitting contest, pool games like the Greasy Watermellon Race and Tug-of-War. Bring your cameras!

17th - 19th: Adults' Weekend. Ladies, don't forget to bring your partner! This is the weekend to let your hair down and have fun. Games and prizes. See you there!
24th - 26th: Adults' Weekend 2: More fun. How well do you know your partner? Come on down and find out.
10th - 12th: Hola Hoop Weekend. Kids will love this! Wear your old clothes for down and dirty tournments. How many hoops can you keep going???
