AREA ATTRACTIONS
We are located in Madison, Maine just on the northern outskirts of Skowhegan on US Rt. 201. We're at the gateway of a National Scenic Byway in the beautiful Kennebec Valley, with a multitude of historic places to visit that are just an hour away!
The area has much to offer for every type of outdoor enthusiast. Fishing, sightseeing, hiking, biking, ATVing, hunting, snowmobiling, as well as shopping centers, moose watching and many other things.
Maine Attractions & Distance from our campground:
- Whitewater Rafting - We recommend Northern Outdoors for your whitewater rafting adventure. Kennebec River rafting is nearby.
- Sugarloaf - New England's premier ski and golf resort is located within a 1 hour drive.
- Moosehead Lake - Fishing, boating and hiking among scenic mountain ranges, a 1 hour drive.
- Bangor - Shopping, arts, culture, dining and more at the "Gateway to the Maine Highlands". 1 hour drive.
- Golfing - Lakewood Golf Course (18 holes) is 1 mile from the campground. There is also a par 3 course south of Skowhegan. There are many more golf courses within a 1 hour drive, so bring your clubs.
- Augusta - The state's capitol is located just 1 hour away.
- Wesserunsett Lake - Only two miles from the campground. Great for boating and fishing!
- Kennebec River - Whitewater rafting and tubing

Visit us during the Skowhegan State Fair, which is the nation's oldest, continually run, agricultural fair. There are rides, games, shows, animals, fireworks and more!
